Hello will the satellite map view and the home icon be returning? Also the option of merging duplicate locations?

Satellite map yes, in an update soon-ish. The old app’s map settings view will be making a return, so that you can choose different map styles, both for light mode and dark mode. The issue number for that is BIG-146, and a bunch of people have been asking, so we’re hoping to get to it sooner rather than later.
For home icon, are you meaning a specific icon for your home place? That would be a new feature I think - the old app didn’t have that except in its earliest years, long ago.
Though it’s certainly something to consider! Oh actually… there is an issue filed for a new feature, of being able to set custom icons on private places. That’d cover it perfectly. I’ll find the issue number… BIG-69.
This is also planned for a comeback! Issue number is BIG-153. Planned for as soon as we can get to it, because it’s a common ask.
