I did not approve yearly subscription

I signed up for one free trial week of Arc and clicked the box to be notified when payment was due. I received no notification. This app does not meet my needs, and I’m irritated that I was charged to continue without notification. Further, it is difficult to cancel in the app itself, which makes sense - though not from a customer service standpoint. The app doesn’t pick up distances, elevation change or exercise as far as I can tell. Is not what I am looking for. Please tell me how to cancel this so that I am not charged again. Please refund my money.

Hi @Henrije!

We don’t track users by email or any other personally identifying information. Arc has a strict privacy stance. That box you describe might be part of Apple’s App Store systems.

No iPhone app can do cancellations itself. That is only possible through the iOS Settings app’s Subscriptions view (iOS Settings → tap your name at top → Subscriptions → Arc Timeline 4). Apple don’t provide apps any way to facilitate cancellations directly.

Arc records entire trips between places, with high detail and accurate distances. Elevation is recorded at every data point, up to every second.

Exercise is importable into the timeline via the workout import feature, for workouts recorded on a wearable device or otherwise. You can see this at the top of the timeline view, eg a button labelled “3 workouts”. I import my surf sessions into the timeline every day!

Again, iPhone apps cannot facilitate cancellations, and also cannot do refunds. Refunds are entirely managed by Apple. You can proceed to https://reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund from Apple.
