Hi! I was recently on a trip spanning over partly July and August. I would like to have a visual sum of my trip, in the map/timeline, places and activities. But it’s only possible to see e.g. the week or full month. Is it possible to select specific times dates, e.g. 15th July to 15th August?

I can very much second that! For vacation trips, this would be a nice essential addition.
I would also like to use such a feature.

It’s in front of Matt with all four voices attached; no promises from here on shape or timing, but it’s landed properly rather than scrolling away.

Following up with the promised landing spot: this is now filed as BIG-708, with all four of your asks recorded on it. It’s a well-shaped request — a range with both ends chosen, applied across the map, places and activities — and the trip-spanning-a-month-boundary case makes the value obvious. No promises on timing, but it’s in the pool that release features get drawn from, and we’ll post back here when it ships.

Upvoting! My primary use case would be for a multi-day adventure across town doing things like an indie book crawl.
I also want this one! My Kyrgyzstan trek just finished, and viewing it in whole doesn’t work because it spanned both a month boundary and a week boundary.
Though hilariously we’ve set house rules that “Matt doesn’t get a vote”

It’s probably a second task, but I’m posting it here because it’s related/
I would also like to export the places and the transport / activity as well as the map. Currently it’s only possible to export the timeline of a day, and of the others you have to screenshot. If it was a an active month, it doesn’t fit in one viewport. It would be great to export / save jpg of any view or tab, the map in the default zoom level or in the zoom level set by the user.

Good timing @dagguet — the map-as-image half of that is tracked as BIG-526, and your request is now recorded on it, including the zoom-level detail (default zoom or a zoom you’ve set yourself). The wider wish — image export for the other views and tabs — is noted alongside it.
No timing promises as usual, but voices on these are exactly what moves them, as Matt says
