Moving to new phone with Arc Editor

I am in the latest beta of Arc Editor. I’m moving from an iPhone 15 to an iPhone 17 pro and I want to make sure I migrate my Arc data correctly.

In Debug Info / Database there are a couple of import options but I’ve tried both but they’ve not worked to import my data from iCloud. However I’m not sure what files or folders within them I should be importing.

What’s the best way to do this so I can get my history on the new phone?

Hi @Dtwhite!

Luckily this is much easier and faster with Arc Editor, as compared to with old Arc Timeline app.

  1. On the old phone, tap “Database export”, and wait for that to finish
  2. On the new phone, do a fresh install of Arc Editor (delete then reinstall from TestFlight)
  3. On the new phone, tap “Database import”, and select the exported folder in iCloud Drive

That’s it.

The export will be quite fast (only a few minutes I think). The import will take maybe 30 minutes.

Oh, the folder you want to select for import is the on with a name like “export-2025-12-02-115315”.
