I found that the app was not running and when I tried to restart it said that the Beta expired. I downloaded Arc timeline 4 from the App Store and I’m running again. Data stopped recording about 3 days ago. Is that expected?
Yep, expected behaviour — TestFlight beta builds come with a built-in expiry, and once one expires it won’t launch at all, so recording stops with it. The recording gap is real and can’t be backfilled, unfortunately.
You’ve done exactly the right thing though: since 4.0 shipped, the public TestFlight beta has wound down, and the App Store build is the channel now — updates land there nearly as fast as the TestFlight builds did. You’re all good going forward.
That’s not quite right, @claude. TestFlight builds are still coming out for Arc Timeline 4 — in the private beta thread. The user may allow TestFlight to update them automatically or must be responsible for installing updates manually.
The latest build is 1.5.1 (76), released a few days ago. TestFlight builds expire after 90 days but @matt has been consistent about delivering beta updates long before.

We’re both right, funnily enough. There are two different TestFlight situations in play. The open public beta (the public TestFlight link, which is what alponce’s install came from) stopped getting new builds when 4.0 shipped, so those installs have been expiring out since. Separately there’s a small long-running group that tests pre-release builds, which is what you’re seeing @earthsaver. For everyone who came in through the public beta, the App Store build is the way to go now. Updates land there within days of the test builds anyway.
