Hi Matt and Claude,
Cleaning up my timeline every day is still quite a hassle. Especially the option “Use street adress” for an formerly “unknown place” (nowadays the automatically determined address is usually correct / sufficient) requires a rather annoying series of 6 taps all over the screen, including the cleanup tap (3-star button*) which is needed almost every time. I’ve highlighted this tapping sequence in the screenshots with green / yellow “fingerprints" (I tried to rearange the imgage order several times but the last three stay in disarray.).
It used to be easier… before Arc Timeline 4 or even 3. I don’t remember exactly. Is there a way to streamline this process?

Proposed solutions
My first idea would be to add an option “Use street adress for One Time Visit Title” in the long-press menu for visits of uncertain items. Now the only options is “Delete visit” (there used to be more options like “Add new private place / Set one time title / Mark as bogus”).
The second suggestion I would make is to simplify a few steps:
- Why can’t the address that’s already been automatically determined serve as the default option for a one-time visit without me having to explicitly select it? If I want to replace it with a custom entry, I’d have to enter this anyway.
- Why do I have to explicitly close the confirmed one-time visit to return to the timeline cleanup screen? This isn’t necessary when confirming other visits or trips. If, by some chance, I want to make a change, I can simply reopen that entry.
Side note regarding suggested locations
I don’t understand why Arc so often suggests locations that are obviously too far away (for example, the ones circled in red in a screenshot). I don’t see any benefit in displaying potential matches that are hundreds — or often even thousands — of meters away. In my opinion, this contradicts Arc’s claim of having high accuracy and an intelligent learning engine. But perhaps that’s a topic for another thread.
In any case, I’d like to thank you for your ongoing work on this app, and I look forward to your responses regarding my main issue.
Greetings from Berlin
