I’ve been using Arc Timeline 4 for about a week and every day all places are Unknown. How do I get it to find actual place names?

The app will only auto assign places to visits if they’re places that have been assigned to a visit at least once before. That stops the app from making random annoying assignments of places you’ve never been to and never intend to.
At the top of the timeline view you should see a button saying something like “2 uncertain items” or “2 unconfirmed items” or some such.
Tap on that and that will take you to the confirmation view. From there you can tap through to each one and then choose a place from the results list. That gets the ball rolling on each place. From there on the app will know it’s allowed to auto assign that place to future visits at that location.
You can also get to the visit edit view for any visit by tapping on it in timeline view, then tapping the edit button at top right of that view.
