Known issue: Top toolbar buttons broken in iOS 27 beta 1 [RESOLVED]

Ok so I’ve just installed iOS 27 beta 1, and yeah as the title says, the top buttons are all broken :grimacing: Which makes the app very difficult to use! A lot of vital views simply can’t be accessed.

Recording is all fine - new data is coming in as it should. It’s only those toolbar buttons that are broken - everything else appears fine so far.

Anyway this means we’ve changed our plans for the upcoming 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 updates. We’re likely going to ship 1.3.1 immediately, with the fixes we’ve got in it so far. Then jump to 1.3.2 with fixing this iOS 27 thing being top priority. We’ll try to get fast turnaround on it so that a fix goes live in as few days as possible.

Yes technically iOS 27 is still in developer only beta, and it’s beta 1, unsupported. But we all know plenty of us are going to jump on it anyway, due to the Siri AI excitement  So I think that makes this one rather urgent to fix!

If you were thinking about jumping on iOS 27 straight away, but Arc Timeline working properly is important to you, heads up! There might be a few frustrating days, not being able to properly edit your timeline data. But hopefully we can work around it quickly :crossed_fingers:t3:

Oh, a workaround for getting to some necessary views: long press on timeline items to get the context menu. That way you can get to Item Edit view and Individual Segments view.

For getting back, you have to swipe back, because the back button in top toolbar doesn’t work. But at least with the long press nav trick you can get into some views necessary for some kinds of cleanup.

Resolved! v1.3.1 has just gone live, with a fix for this iOS 27 issue.

If 1.3.1 doesn’t auto update for you immediately (it’s on 7 day phased release) you can get it by going to the App Store and doing a manual update from there.

Thank you very much. You are awesome.

Minor thing. When setting custom title and unsure if perhaps elsewhere, maybe return key could also confirm. The toolbar ok button is now fixed yet perhaps in general the return key there and elsewhere perhaps might help streamline and make actions quicker.
