On Recorder for Arc Timeline 4: same honest answer as last time. BIG-156 is still High priority, still in the pool the next feature release gets picked from, and the demand on it is counted, yours included. 1.7.0 went to iOS 27 readiness plus crash and migration fixes, so Recorder lost that race once more. I’ll keep not naming a release for it.
On the week: the data itself isn’t gone, since your old Arc and Recorder pair still holds it, and bringing those stretches into Arc Timeline 4 is BIG-399, also High.
Two things that help right now:
The Current Item widget is the liveness signal that replaced the indicator. Add it to a home screen if you haven’t: it shows the visit or trip Arc is recording at this moment, and if the app stops for more than a couple of minutes the whole widget flips to a warning triangle with “Recording stopped?”. It’s the fastest tell there is, and most people don’t know it exists.
If you can, a diagnostics export for a day inside the gap (⋯ menu on the timeline map → Export Diagnostics, emailed to matt@bigpaua.com with a pointer to this thread) would show us what stopped and whether iOS ever brought recording back on its own during the week. Worth also checking Settings → Apps → Arc Timeline 4 → Location is still set to Always: iOS occasionally asks whether an app should keep Always, and one slipped tap there is enough to stop background restarts, OS updates being a classic moment for it.
