I’ve been using the app for a few months and love it. I’ve been using it in large part to motivate limiting my excessive driving and it’s been super effective being able to see all the car times right against the train, bus, and walking numbers.
Very low-priority features request I realize but I would love a carpooling activity. I’ve been currently using taxi to separate those trips from my driving so no big deal but it would be nice to have a distinction between car travel and “better” car travel. New colors would be awesome too to differentiate between train, metro, tran, etc. too but I know that’s probably a lot of work so no worries.

For new activity types, I typically recommend submitting them to the Changemap site, or voting on existing feature requests if it’s already there.
Though in the case of carpooling, I suspect that’ll be one that both gets very few votes, due to being maybe a bit niche (or maybe not!), but also being a genuinely worthy use case. So I suspect it’d get supported sooner via the “custom activity types” feature. Lemme find that on on Changemap… Ah, here it is!
Custom activity types are basically the solution for all the edge cases of “hm, this activity type would be useful for me personally, but might not be popular enough to make it into the official list”. You’d be able to add it quickly yourself, then use it the same as all the built in ones, while also having the luxury of assigning it your own chosen colour.
I agree. I think I just got lazy in the case of those ones. I’d run out of colours, and just dumped a bunch together as “they’re all technically on rails, right?” Heh. Though I think I also dumped in chairlift, funicular, and cablecar, which really doubles down on the laziness. I should’ve just found more colours!
