Version 1.7.4, 2026-10-01 (Cairo)

• Fixed the location indicator showing during background recording, which had returned in 1.7.3. (BIG-811)
• Fixed some days failing to load. (BIG-782)
• Improved activity type detection after switching between days. (BIG-791)

Version 1.7.3, 2026-09-29 (Cairo)

• Fixed slow loading of past days on some devices after the 1.7.1 update. The first launch may take a few minutes while the fix is applied. (BIG-792)
• Jumping to a day from the calendar or a search result now always shows that day’s visits and map. (BIG-494)
• Segment times, map callouts and trip chart times now show in the time zone they were recorded in. (BIG-535)
• Dates in visit and trip lists now follow your region’s format. (BIG-766)
• Resumed restores from backup now keep the screen awake. (BIG-761)
• Fixed a crash when searching by year or month with the Japanese calendar. (BIG-783)

We’ve brought on a new Claude team member recently - Implementer. They (along with the Linear hygiene agent) get to pick out tickets that look suitable for churning through on their own, without me needing to be around.

That’s sped up the releases quite a bit! Or increased the number of fixes in each release. Or seems like both!

Another improvement is every Claude team member now files Linear tickets for things they find along the way. So if Researcher is asked to go do a deep dive on something before Implementer gets into it, and Researcher finds some unrelated issue in the code, they’ll file that when they find it. That then often now ends up being a ticket that Implementer later self assigns and runs with. Bugs being found and fixed with me never in the loop.

Wild times we live in eh. These days I often just try to stay out of the way, and not step on anyone’s toes while they’re doing the real work :sweat_smile:
