Importing items during backup will speed up it?

Hi! The restore will go the same speed either way. However if you want to see more detailed progress, you can use the manual restore view, as described here:

Another question: In the day view I still can’t see the timeline items, is it normal?

It depends which files have been restored so far. Each LocomotionSample backup file contains a week of data. You will be able to open the calendar view (from timeline view), to jump back through time and see data that has been restored so far.
