Fantastic. I think that was the last functionality I was waiting on (for my part). Works like it says on the tin! Now to winnow down all those stray locations.
Was there a way we can change or update the icon shown for a specific place?
Glad the merge is proving itself on the stray-location winnowing — that’s exactly the workflow it was built for.
On icons: not currently, no. Icons are auto-derived from a place’s category data, which is also why your private places only ever show the generic marker — they have no category data to derive from. Both halves of the fix are on the list though: place categories you can set yourself (BIG-512, with its foundations in progress now), and direct icon choice for a place (BIG-69). Between them, the icon situation should get considerably better.
